New Year, New Focus - How This "Hack" Is Helping Me

If you want to get more done, in less time, so you can spend more time doing what matters most, then this is for you. Today I’m going to be showing you how 3 focus sessions per day are helping me do exactly that.
 
if you’ve been engaging with my content for any length of time you’ll know that a heavy focus of it has been Amazon tutorials. Those are going to continue, but in 2020 I’m adding some more stuff into the mix. 
 
See Amazon is not the goal. Building businesses that create impact and freedom - that’s the goal. Amazon is just a great means to that end. 
 
And equally important as the ground level strategies are the top level mentalities. Mentalities around business, finances, work ethic etc. There’s no use making money if you can’t keep it. 
 
There’s no use keeping it if you can’t multiply it and use it to make an impact. There’s also no point sacrificing your whole life just to make it. If you quit your job to run a business that relies on you putting 60 hour weeks in to keep it afloat, did you really start a business or did you create a job?
 
These posts undoubtedly won’t get as many views or as much traction for the content (as “how to organise your time” is nowhere near as glamorous as “earn an extra £100k” 😂), but my goal is not views or subscribers it’s impact in lives. The reality is: tactics are temporary, but mindset lasts. 
 
So, moving forward, my intention is to do one for one… Mindsets on Mondays and Tactics on Thursdays. Working on you on Mondays, working on your business on Thursdays. I can’t promise it will be every Monday and Thursday but I’ll be doing my best. 
 
So today to kick us off with MINDSET MONDAYS in 2020 I want to talk you through a workflow that is really helping me, and whether you are a full-time entrepreneur, running a side hustle, or looking to get started, this can really help you too. One particular thought at the end has helped me so much, so make sure you stick around for that. 
 
If you’re anything like me, it’s so easy to get distracted. Checking on the sports scores… Distracted by yet another brilliant and totally coherent drawing by my 2-year-old… More WhatsApp group notifications then I can shake an iPhone at… You get it, we are the notification generation and distraction knocks on the door of our focus at every moment of the day. 
 
A recent Mashable article suggests that distraction is costing the US workforce alone $650 billion. BILLION. Insane. 
 
These constant distractions force us to complete shallow work, instead of diving into deep work which drives our business forward. 
 
The solution I’ve recently found to this issue is utilising 3 core focus sessions per day. 
 
These are the 3 key facets to make it work:
 
  1. The Structure
  2. The Focus 
  3. The Execution
